Overview

In this subject i have learned about how the web can be customised to the user to increase web production and useability.

Google has proven to be one of my favorites, because it has branched out into providing helpful and entertaining web functions, attachments, and even software. I have found Google docs particularly helpful because it has online counterparts of all the Microsoft office software, which it is also completely compatible with. This means i can create documents on any computer with web access and not have to pay to use Microsoft products. Google earth s is also cool. I looked at my house.

Delicious has also taught me about the user friendly side of the net. Having a delicious account has let me keep my internet favorites wherever i go. This helps as a cant remember all of them.

Flickr has opened me up to the real interactive side of the internet. This is because of the massive online community that is involved with flickr.

Rss feeds have let me keep track of dynamic web sites and blogs. This is great because I'm not trawling over the internet to check out my favorite sites every week, I'm just notified of updates automatically by subscribing to their feed.

Technorati has helped manage my blog, and lets me keep track of exactly how many page views i have had. I just wish we had discovered it in at the beginning of the subject.

Learning the basics HTML and CSS means i can create basic web pages, as well as knowing what is going on behind the scenes.

all up this subject has educated me further into the workings of the internet.
